Web hosting implies making your website accessible to the world. Nowadays, many people are becoming users of internet by joining social networking websites. There are 4 new websites being launched every second on the World Wide Web and there are now 759 million websites existing on the internet. Out of these websites, 510 million websites are active. This statistic purely reflects the thriving speed of internet today. In simple words we can say, web hosting is a process of providing web space to the users and organizations that are interested in making their website and launching them on World Wide Web. Web hosting service can be compared with the builders or land consultants who provide the land to construct houses. Similarly, web hosting providers are the companies which have their own servers or leased servers through which space is granted to the users for making their website. Web hosting also provides the internet connectivity to the websites.

There are different types of web hosting, these are as follows:

• Shared web hosting: in this type of hosting, there are different numbers of website placed on the single server utilizing the same space. This type of web hosting is very advantageous to the web hosting providers as they earn money from a single server but through different number of space consumers.
• Reseller web hosting:  in this type of web hosting, you can yourself become a website host but through reseller accounts granted by webhosting sites. In this type, the permissions are provided to you for hosting different websites.
• Dedicated web hosting: dedicated is the type of web hosting in which the users have the full right over the web server through which the space is provided. Although it does not mean the user have owned the server but he will be having full management access. This is the expensive type of web hosting.
• Clustered web hosting:  clustered web hosting is another type of hosting and can also be understood through the term itself. In CWH (Clustered web hosting) there are number of servers attached together (not physically) hosting the same website for better utilization. This type of hosting is used for better content management in case of uncertainty. In case if one web server is damaged or failed due to any reason, the website and the content will remain unaffected because of multiple server hosting or CWH.
•  Cloudhosting: cloud hosting is the new type of hosting that gives users a better, redesigned and decentralized hosting. In this type of web hosting, all components inside the cloud adjust respectively when one of the components goes down. Also in cloud hosting, users are only charged for the resources utilized by them.
